In the winter season, your immunity can be affected. These healthy but delicious energy and immunity boosting balls will help with the lack of energy and immunity. All the below ingredients have amazing energy and immunity boosting qualities.
Ingredients
- Chia seeds (seeds 50g)
- Pumpkin seeds
- Hemp seeds
- Sunflower seeds
- Flax seeds or ground flax seeds
- 200g Ground nuts
- 200g Apricots or other dry fruit like dates
- 2-3 Tbsp Turmeric powder
- 2-3 tbsp Ginger powder
- 2-3 Tbsp Cinnamon powder
- 2-3 Tbsp Baobab powder
- 200g Melted dark chocolate (Ii used vegan dark chocolate)
Method
- Roast all the seeds and let them cool down (I oven roasted them for 15 minutes on 100oc).
- You can either roast the nuts or have raw nuts. Grind the nuts into semi tiny pieces.
- You can also blitz or grind the apricot to make it a little bit pliable
- Either double boil the chocolate or melt in the microwave (stir every 20seconds if melting in the microwave). Do this when you’re ready to mix the whole mixture.
- Mix all ingredients together and spread it in a tray. Cut into two inch pieces.
- Or roll them in round balls. This recipe made 60 balls.
- Store in a cool dry place like the refrigerator.
